Back to Basic for Alien franchise

Alien is finally coming back to basic where it belongs, not with all these wild spin-offs where the Aliens fight Predators or where there's absolutely no story line. Recently announced, Ridley Scott, the original director of Alien, will be back to helm the prequel to this beastly franchise. Twentieth Century Fox definitely wants to make this franchise bankable again, and has put Jon Spaihts up to the job to write the prequel. Hopefully Spaihts will put some new life into the franchise, and it's awesome that Ridley Scott wants to come back to direct his creation from 1979.
