Be a Video Game designer

Beginning three days ago, GameStop, SMU Guildhall, and the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences have created the Indie Game Challenge where amateurs and professionals can stop complaining about the problems in their video games and go design there own. Amateurs can design their own game and submit it to the Challenge until October 1st, 2009 where the winner will receive $100,000 in award money along with auditions to meet with game developers. Amateurs and Professionals are in separate competitions to be fair. Pretty cool idea since it's become more of a possibility to create your own games, and to win 100 Gs would be a pretty sick way to start it off.
