Two days ago, the Philadelphia Eagles officially signed Michael Vick to be apart of their squad with a one year contract with an option for a second season. Supposedly, owner Jeffrey Lurie was hesitant about signing an ex-convict, but I guess that didn't stop him. Protesters have already begun showing about to Eagle training camps and stadium about the signing of Vick, and this is most likely just the start. It's true that Vick will be able to add some talent to the Eagles squad, but the amount of bad PR the team is going to get may mess with their mental game. But, I still wonder if the commissioner is going to give Vick the ability to fully join the NFL. I'm thinking if the PR is so bad and there are too many protesters or what not, then no. At the moment, things are looking positive for Vick, which is bull. All I'm saying is, I'm damn happy to be a Giants fan!

The sad thing here is that the only consideration is that he is an ex con or that it will generate bad pr. These guys are of course running an insanely profitable corporation, but I still find it odd that there is not talk about whether the owners and players find his actions objectionable themselves or not. A different way of putting, are they willing to hire a person they themselves find to have objectionable morals or do they have objectionable morals themselves?
