Prince Fielder, the Milwaukee Brewer first baseman , out hit last nights competition beating Nelson Cruz of the Texas Rangers 6-5 in the final round, and more importantly beating St. Louis' hometown hero Albert Pujols. Fielder had overall 23 homers to out blast his competition, but not by much. Pujols had 21 homers (includes final round), Ryan Howard had 15, and Pujols had 11. No one else was close to these 4 big time sluggers which made the rounds exciting to watch this year. This was Fielder's second home run derby and first win. He also blasted the two farthest balls in the competition: a 503 foot launch to right field, and 497 foot blast. Tonight Fielder and the other 3 join their league teams in the All-Star game starting at 8 ET/5 PT. The NL league is going to try to stop the AL, but with my man Halladay as the starter pitcher, I don't see it happening.
