The Fat Man Gets his Dues

For the first time in nearly 50 years an animated series is being nominated for Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmys (The Flintstones were first in '61). The Fat Man finally gets his dues as Peter Griffin and his family in their hit comedy show Family Guy are being recognized by the Academy as an Emmy contender. It's about time too since this show has been on for 10 years, has a huge following, and is freaking hilarious. There might be only 3 episodes that I never laughed out loud for and that's awesome. Finally the Academy is understanding if they want men to watch the award show, you better put something we like on the nomination list. Other comedy series contending against Family Guy are: Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, How I Met Your Mother (Legendary!), The Office, 30 Rock, and Weeds. It's actually going to be interesting to see who wins this year.
