Review - Bruno, Icht vas Awesome!

Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno was one of the funniest things to watch in theaters. Not as funny as The Hangover but definitely right behind it. The places Cohen goes as this character was great: Middle East, Alabama, LA, etc. The range made it funny since (like Borat) he shows how ridiculous and stupid some people are around the world and in the US. The sex parts were pretty messed up, the 'did he just say that' jokes were beastly, the storyline (what there was) was funny, and the way Bruno talks and acts was glorious. Just watching him without anything really going on was hilarious. If you have never seen Bruno before, he's not as good as he is on The Ali G Show since the character's main schtick is fashion, and in the movie it's more about him just being gay. Which was funny, but more of the fashion show parts could've been added. The acting was good, Cohen stayed in part no matter what, which during some scenes was impressive. Just watching people's reactions from seeing him definitely helped make the movie. But, some of the parts did look semi-staged/pre-planned, which was fine since it didn't take away too much from the hilarity. Overall the scenes during the movie were so outrageous and so ridiculous it was freaking hilarious, and at parts you kind of worried if he was going to get attacked by someone. Definitely worth to see in theaters and you have to give Cohen credit for what he commits to. Can't wait for the DVD to see deleted scenes since parts shown in the trailer weren't in the movie.
